Atlanta Portrait Artist Matthew Boyd
Drawing. I’ve always loved doing it, and I seem to be pretty good. I love the sketches, the type of art where you can still see the artist’s hand or technique. For me it really makes and images more interesting then a carbon copy of a photograph. This is why most in most of my art you can still see a bit of the under penny of a drawing, I feel it adds some extra life to the piece.
Work is done on 18″ by 24″ paper which can be either toned or white. I use the finest materials from Ebony Graphite pencils to Faber-Castell Conte pencils and sticks along with Prismacolor Nupastel pastels.
When the work is finished, I will send you an email with the finished project. We can communicate to make sure I get the portrait the way you want it.
Portraits drawn from photographs make a great personalized gift idea for any occasion and are a unique keepsake that can be enjoyed for years to come.
